Hi everybody! I am so stinking excited to be participating in this study. I’m the heaviest I’ve ever been and I can’t even begin to say the problems that excess body fat can cause. It is so detrimental to health, self-esteem, spiritual wellness, not to mention personal relationships ( I am so lucky that my boyfriend loves me no matter what = )). I’ve been keeping a food journal since last Friday, and yesterday I began using a food scale to accurately weigh up portion sizes and I also went back to the gym for the first time in a LONG time. Even though it was ridiculously hard to finish the class-I went to kickboxing-I did it and got so much positive reinforcement from the instructors and other people in the class. I felt like a million bucks afterwards, and jumped on the scale this morning (well, actually I gently stood on it since jumping would have caused quite a malfunction, I’m sure) and whaddya know? I lost four pounds!
So, if you’re ready to have a positive lifestyle change just put in the work, do what it takes without cheating, and we’ll do this together!
